These days most of us love to use the fast growing shrubs, and evergreen trees as our front yard fence. Because they are too easy to manage; so you can grow them organically without much gardening pests problems.
We have two inexpensive winter-hard Box evergreen fences. You can grow them from young; they grow slow but steady; you can trim them twice a year, before the fall and after spring. They can be kept in any size; and in any shapes. They are mostly used as a screen to block the wind, and to protect the smaller plants; they are pretty too!
Besides evergreen Box hedges (Buxus), we have one fast growing tree in our front door garden. It grows promisingly half a meter tall every year. It is our lovely Eucalyptus Gunnii Herb!

This Eucalyptus plant is actually a shrub; it was only a 30 cm tall bare-root branch when we bought it in 2005 year end; it is a useful plant; it helps to purify our air. When placing its dried leaves in an organic cotton bag under your pillows, it helps you to sleep smoothly; it helps to keep the mosquito out of us too. I love its fragrance very much!
Having a small garden, we have to keep all plants dwarf. And we prune this Eucalyptus tree short every year, so its stem is getting thicker. It is worth to invest in this valuable plant; if you have enough space and the temperature is right. Imagine, every year the eucalyptus leaves can benefit so many of us.
If you have a hill landscape, you may love to grow all eucalyptus trees to purify the earth!
