About Me and Building a Spray Free Harmony Garden!

About Me

I am Joan Chang from Singapore.
I am one of the organic garden lover.
Organic gardening is one of my favourite hobby.

In Singapore, many of us love to grow flowers, plants
and small trees. However, due to the limited space, we
can only have balcony gardening and corridor gardening.

Before I move to Netherlands, I remembered one day,
my girl friend and I was walking along the florist lane.
We saw those charming red leaves Christmas plants,
Poinsettias (Christmas Euphorbia pulcherrima).
It was Christmas season. My girl friend told me that,
the plant could never stay long in Singapore: She said
we had not the right temperature for it. So, I challenged
her. I bought one pot immediately and placed it by my
window balcony. It stayed six months with me.
It was a great success!

I always think that, if we have no perfect environment
for the plant, why can't we create a better home for them
to live in. When the flower, plants and trees are happy,
they will do their best to deliver their charming flowers
and delicious fruits and vegetables.

Through these six years of organic gardening, I learned
about "Moments" and "Nature".

If we can catch every second, we may have a chance to see
all beautiful happenings between the nature and the insects,
flowers, plants and trees. However, it is impossible to see
everything from our naked eyes and watch the nature closely
for 24 hours each day. So, I decided to bring my camera along
whenever I walk into any of the natural garden. I do my best
to capture all beautiful pictures from every corner around
the gardens; especially the amazing pictures of nature;
those are beauties that we almost forget.

Since we had done quite a bit in our organic garden,
so I suggested to write it down to share and exchange
our ideas and tips with people who are interested.
